Workforce Development
College Internship Program
Workforce Development College Internship Program is a paid summer job at Parkland for college students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. This program begins the first week of June and ends the first week of August.
This program was designed for college students interested in a non-clinical healthcare experience at Dallas County’s busiest public teaching hospital. Students are placed in various areas throughout the hospital, and work up to 40 hours per week under the supervision of the hiring manager of the department and staff.
The practical experience gained from this program is intended to complement the academic training students receive throughout their school year. Because of Parkland’s international reputation for excellence, the program strives to share this excitement with tomorrow’s health care professionals.
