Career Interests: Ambulatory Care with a focus on long-term conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia
Professional Goals: My short-term goal is to complete a PGY1 and then a PGY2 in Ambulatory Care while precepting students along the way. Long term I would like to become board-certified in diabetes management and other interests such as pain management and then work as a clinical pharmacist in an outpatient setting.
Personal Interests and Hobbies: I love going to the movies, binge-watching anime, reading fantasy and mystery books, doing outdoor activities like biking, and grabbing boba with family or friends.
Why did you choose Parkland? I chose Parkland because of the variety of clinic experiences as well as the opportunity to work in a high acuity environment that would make me a well-rounded pharmacist. After speaking with preceptors, I knew it would provide a challenging yet very supportive environment that would help me in achieving my goals. Lastly, I wanted to be part of a team that focused on helping the underserved in the community receive care.

Career Interests: Emergency Medicine & Critical Care
Professional Goals: My short-term goals include building on my foundational knowledge, developing my critical thinking skills throughout PGY1, and pursuing a PGY2 in one of my areas of interest. Long term, I would like to become a board-certified clinical pharmacist, practice clinically at a teaching hospital, precept students, and lecture at a college of pharmacy.
Personal Interests and Hobbies: I absolutely love to shop, explore new restaurants, go on nature walks, bake cheesecakes, create charcuterie boards, watch the sunset, and spend time with my family and friends!
Why did you choose Parkland? I chose Parkland because of the exceptional opportunity to work with an underserved patient population that will enhance my critical thinking skills as I navigate through the diverse patient specific factors to consider when making medication related recommendations. Additionally, Parkland is a level 1 trauma center that offers a unique range of specialty rotations such as HIV/HOMES, burn surgery, and jail health that will provide me with a well-rounded experience. Parkland’s reputation as a leading teaching facility coupled with its nurturing culture has truly provided me with the confidence that training here will equip me with the essential skills I need to thrive as a competent clinician, capable of excelling in diverse healthcare settings.

Career Interests: Ambulatory care, teaching and mentoring
Professional Goals: Short-term, my goals are to take in the opportunities as a PGY1 resident to become a resourceful pharmacist, learn from those around me, and strengthen my area of practice to pursue a PGY2. I love collaborating with others, and I look forward to working with an inter-professional team to serve my patients. Long-term, I would love to be a board-certified clinical pharmacist working on a team to serve the underserved population, serve as a preceptor/mentor, and participate in a regional or national pharmacy organization/work with the local College of Pharmacy. I would also like to volunteer as a pharmacist at youth camps, working with kids with healthcare needs.
Personal Interests and Hobbies: I grew up in a family-owned restaurant, so I absolutely love to try new restaurants! I like exploring (either traveling or trying new hobbies), reading, binging a good show, and spending quality time with my friends and family.
Why did you choose Parkland? I chose this residency program for its ample opportunities and unique rotations. After learning more about the culture, values, and diverse populations served, I knew that Parkland was the right program to challenge and train me to become a well-rounded pharmacist.

Personal Interests and Hobbies: I love exploring new restaurants, live music, and traveling. Day to day, I enjoy staying active and listening to podcasts.
Why did you choose Parkland? I chose Parkland because it is a large teaching institution that will allow me to further advance my knowledge as a pharmacist while also caring for a diverse population of patients. Parkland provides a wide array of unique learning opportunities that allows residents to have an optimal learning experience.
