Spiritual Care
Our Spiritual Care staff offers you and your loved ones with spiritual resources that you may need. At Parkland, the chaplain can be a part of your healthcare team, providing not only support and guidance but also important information about different patient care situations that may involve spiritual, religious and ethical issues. Our chaplains represent different religious traditions and are careful to respect your beliefs.
A chaplain is always available. Should you wish to speak with a chaplain, ask a Parkland staff or call 214-590-8512.
Parkland Chapel
The chapel at Parkland is a non-denominational place of quiet and healing. Everyone regardless of faith and background is welcome. The chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital.
Dealing with grief and bereavement
The loss of a loved one is one of life’s most difficult experiences and many people find it very helpful to have a group of people to whom they can talk and share their hurt, pain, and their hopes for the future. If you would like to be connected to a grief support in the area, please call our Spiritual Care department at 214-590-8512 and ask to speak to a chaplain about grief support.
