Paths to Recovery Clinic

About the clinic

The opioid crisis has become a serious issue across the country, and North Texas has felt its impact as well. To address this challenge and improve patient care, Parkland launched the Paths to Recovery Clinic in October 2024.

This clinic helps close gaps in addiction treatment, making it easier for patients to access care in a supportive, stigma-free environment. It acts as a “one-stop shop” for people struggling with opioid use disorder (OUD), offering quick and simple access to addiction services.

Research shows that getting treatment sooner leads to better recovery rates. The Paths to Recovery Clinic speeds up the process and also helps patients with related health concerns, such as the lack of primary care. It ensures a smooth transition to ongoing support through Parkland and its community partners.

This new model not only helps track patient progress over time but may also reduce emergency room visits by preventing more serious health issues down the road.
