New Parkland patient rooms offer safety, quality and convenience

Patient rooms at the new hospital were designed to offer safe, quality care along with modern conveniences for patients. Parkland’s nurse liaisons have ensured every detail of the construction project is focused on patient care, from space planning to information technology and medical equipment.

With 260 square feet per room, there is enough space for patients’ guests to spend a night. In addition, rooms include a space on the wall of patients’ rooms for a large flat-screen television, a whiteboard for staff to communicate important information to patients and shelves with electric outlets for charging electronic devices.
