Language Access & Interpreter Services
Parkland Health is committed to ensuring that every patient can access the care they need, regardless of language, hearing or communication preferences in all outpatient clinics, the main hospital and correctional health locations. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We offer interpretation and translation services at no cost to patients and their families in their preferred language, including:
Face-to-Face Interpretation
- Personalized, in-person support during healthcare visits.
Over-the-Phone Interpretation
- Convenient, on-demand telephone interpretation for immediate assistance.
Video Remote Interpretation (VRI)
- Remote access to qualified medical interpreters in multiple languages.
Sign Language Services
- Sign language interpreters and other communication solutions for patients with hearing impairments.
How to Request Interpretation Services
Parkland provides interpretation services at no cost. Simply ask any member of the healthcare team to contact the Language Services Department for assistance.
