Generosity of donors recognized throughout new Parkland

Walking through the halls of the new Parkland hospital one will notice many changes from the current facility. In addition to larger operating rooms, private patient rooms and natural light radiating throughout the building, you will see the names of our generous donors on plaques and displays throughout the hospital.

The I Stand for Parkland capital campaign for the new hospital provided an opportunity for Parkland Foundation to create a comprehensive donor recognition program in the new facility. As visitors walk into the lobby, one of the first things they will see is a display listing the names of donors who made a gift of $5,000 or more to the campaign. Additional displays in public areas recognize employee donors, community donors and members of the 1894 Society who have included Parkland in their estate plan.

Donors making gifts of $10,000 or more also have an opportunity for individual recognition in areas such as family waiting rooms, patient rooms, staff lounges and workrooms. Many donors have chosen to name a space in honor of or in memory of a family member, friend or mentor.
“The way the Dallas community came together to stand for Parkland is an inspiration,” said David E. Krause, Parkland Foundation President and Chief Executive Officer. “From patients and families at our clinics to benefactors like the Harold Simmons Foundation and The Rees-Jones Foundation, the outpouring was truly communitywide. We are proud to honor the generosity from so many in our community on the walls of new Parkland.”

There’s still time to make a gift to new Parkland. Go to www.IStandforParkland.org to learn more or call Parkland Foundation at 214.266.2000.
