Parkland to consolidate some of its Youth & Family Centers

Effort will allow more children, adolescents to receive care

In an effort to increase access to care for Dallas Independent School District students Parkland Health is consolidating its Youth & Family Centers from 11 centers to 4 centers that will be open 5 days a week. Currently, Parkland’s Youth & Family Centers are open an average of 1 to 3 days per week.

Parkland’s centers scheduled for closure will do so on Friday, July 8. The consolidated sites will open on Monday, July 11.

“Consolidating these centers will allow us to expand access to children and adolescents 5 days a week and provide a medical home. Regular care is essential to a child’s physical and emotional health, growth, and development as well as their capacity to reach their full potential as adults,” said Christina Mintner, Parkland’s Senior Vice President of Population Health.
